My lovely Blueprint started out as a dark dappled grey. As the years have passed she has faded to a Whiter Shade of Pale which shows every speck of dirt or muck. Now that she has permanent and irreversible digestive problems her tail and rear end seem to spend all summer with a most unattractive green hue and Blooey-Ooey has become well used to spending a good part of her summer being shampooed. On Sunday when we tackled Brandy we also had another go at Blueprint who was, this time, most unsporting about the whole affair and Tina and I got a lot wetter than she did, although she seemed to feel a lot better by the time we finished. On Sunday I was busy doing the shampooing and therefore unable to pick up the camera. These two photos are from a few years before when cousin Sarah and Volunteer Melanie were helping.
It was a lovely hot, sunny day on Sunday 13th November and finally time to catch up with some of the bathing chores. There are several cases of rain scald in the herd this year but it has been too cold to shampoo any horses and then apply the Vetadine anti itch treatment. Brandy looks a tad wet and droopy but he genuinely enjoys being waited upon hand and foot as befits a highly superior equine of Arab status. Linda is doing sterling duty on the holding stakes and Tina is getting wetter than Brandy.
